Gov. Malloy: Leading Metal Fishining Company Will Expand and Create Jobs in New Britain
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Marsam Metal Finishing Co., a leading source for metal finishing, is undergoing a $2.5 million expansion project in New Britain that will allow the company to increase its operations to meet growing demand and add 25 new jobs to its current workforce of 34 employees.

Gov. Malloy: Applango USA Joins Stamford Innovation Center, Creates Jobs
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Applango USA, Inc., a subsidiary of Israel-based Applango Systems will open its U.S. headquarters at the Stamford Innovation Center as part of a project that will expand the company’s regional presence and create four jobs for Connecticut residents.

In advance of Labor Day Weekend, Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by Congressman John Larson, state and local officials, American Mural Project (AMP) founder Ellen Griesedieck and Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) Deputy Commissioner Kip Bergstrom, today announced the awarding of a one million dollar challenge grant in support of the American Mural Project, a tribute to American workers depicting people in professions that helped build the United States of America.

Gov. Malloy: FuelCell Energy Expansion Advances Connecticut's Long-Term Energy Goals
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Danbury-based FuelCell Energy Inc. will begin a two-phased expansion of its Torrington manufacturing facility. The company expects the project to add up to 325 new jobs over the next four years to its existing Connecticut workforce of 538 employees.

Gov. Malloy: Praxair Building New World Headquarters in Danbury
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Praxair, Inc., a global leader in industrial gases and applications, will maintain its world headquarters in Danbury and invest approximately $65 million to build a new 100,000 square-foot corporate facility. The company will retain 535 positions statewide, and is incented to grow up to 120 new jobs over the next five years.

Gov. Malloy: Global Leader in Corporate Relocation Management Services to Expand and Grow Jobs in Danbury
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Cartus Corporation, a leading provider of global relocation services, is expanding its headquarters in Danbury to grow its presence in the state after considering other options in New York and Texas. As part of the project, Cartus will retain 1,275 jobs in Connecticut and create as many as 200 new jobs for residents over the next five years.

Gov. Malloy: Starwood Hotels Worldwide Will Expand in Stamford and Create Jobs for Residents

Malloy, joined by Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) Commissioner Catherine Smith, Starwood executives and other state and local officials, today announced that Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. is expanding its global headquarters in Stamford. Starwood will be creating 340 new full-time jobs in the state, in addition to retaining its current workforce of 980 employees.
