Gov. Malloy: New Haven Line Power Upgrade Completed, Doubling Electrical Supply

Gov. Malloy, Legislative Leaders Applaud Committee Approval of Minimum Wage Increase on Eve of Presidential Visit
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today lauded the Connecticut General Assembly’s Labor Committee, led by State Senator Gary Holder-Winfield and State Representative Peter Tercyak, for approving legislation he introduced that will increase the state’s minimum wage to $10.10, mirroring recent efforts by President Barack Obama and other Congressional leaders to raise the federal minimum wage to that same amount.

Gov. Malloy Applauds Committee Approval of Legislation Protecting Owners of Domestic Horses
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today applauded the General Assembly’s Environment Committee for voting to approve legislation he introduced that protects horse owners or keepers, and the state’s associated agriculture industry, by clarifying into law that domesticated horses are not wild animals and as such are not “inherently dangerous.”

Gov. Malloy Seeks to Eliminate Approximately 1,000 Pages of State Regulations

Malloy today announced that he is seeking to eliminate approximately a thousand pages of state regulations that have been identified as obsolete, duplicative, excessively burdensome, or otherwise ineffective or unnecessary, in a major effort to make Connecticut’s regulations more streamlined, readable and user-friendly for citizens, especially small businesses.
