Friday: Gov. Malloy Discusses State's Infrastructure Priorities at Regional Transportation Forum
On Friday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will attend the Regional Plan Association's (RPA) 2015 Assembly, where he will participate in a forum and discuss his vision to transform the state's transportation infrastructure to create jobs and attract business. The RPA is the country's oldest independent urban research and advocacy group, preparing long range plans and policies to guide the growth and development of the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut metropolitan region.

Today at 2:45pm: Gov. Malloy Holds News Conference on Airbag Recall
Today at 2:45 p.m., Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner Jonathan A. Harris, and Department of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Andres Ayala will hold a news conference to provide Connecticut residents with information regarding yesterday's announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that nearly 34 million vehicles made by 11 companies are being recalled for replacement of faulty Takata-made airbags.

Friday: Gov. Malloy Speaks at Youth and Urban Violence Commission Meeting; Keynotes Greenwich Law Day Event
On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will make welcoming remarks at a meeting of the Governor's Youth and Urban Violence Commission. The Governor created the Commission, which is chaired by Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, this spring with the task of reviewing the sources and causes of youth violence in urban areas, as well as developing proposals that will further reduce the rate of violent crime.

Gov. Malloy Announces $1.2 Million in Grants for Nonprofit Providers
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that over $1.2 million in grants are being awarded to eight nonprofit organizations in Connecticut as part of the state's Nonprofit Collaboration Incentive Grant Program (NCIP). The grant program supplements one-time infrastructure costs related to the consolidation of programs and services resulting from the collaborations between two or more nonprofit organizations providing services in Connecticut.

Gov. Malloy: Full-Day Kindergarten Will Move Our State into the Future
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Commissioner of Education Dianna R. Wentzell today visited classrooms in Bristol and Southington, highlighting the importance and benefits of full-day kindergarten for Connecticut's five-year-old learners, approximately 2,000 of whom do not have access to full day instruction - or roughly 5.5 percent.

Joint Statement on Budget Agreement
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Senate President Martin Looney, House Speaker Brendan Sharkey, House Majority Leader Joe Aresimowicz, and Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff announced that they have reached an agreement on a biennium budget. The package takes Connecticut into the future by funding transportation, providing important property tax relief, and funding vital programs.

Monday: Gov. Malloy Participates in UConn's Downtown Hartford Campus Groundbreaking; Speaks on Second Chance Initiatives at Events in Hartford and Danbury
On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in the groundbreaking and flag raising ceremony for UConn's new campus in downtown Hartford. The campus will be anchored at the former Hartford Times building and will open for classes in fall 2017 with about 2,300 students and 250 faculty members.

On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join U.S. Labor Secretary Thomas E. Perez, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, Congressman Joe Courtney, business leaders, educators, and advocates at Electric Boat in Groton for a roundtable discussion on workforce development and efforts to deliver the tools necessary for residents to compete for 21st Century jobs. Tuesday: Gov. Malloy Discusses Impact of "Second Chance society" Initiative on Youth Offenders
On Tuesday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will visit the Connecticut Juvenile Training School (CJTS) in Middletown, where he will hold a news conference to discuss the impact that his "Second Chance Society" initiatives will have on turning lives around. The Governor will be joined at the news conference by police chiefs and representatives from Connecticut's major cities.
