Governor Dannel P. Malloy, in response to a proclamation issued this evening by President Barack Obama, has directed U.S. and state flags in Connecticut to fly at half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Friday, November 22, 2013, in recognition of a national Day of Remembrance for President John F. Kennedy.

On Thursday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening Common Ground’s Cedarwoods Residence, which will provide 60 units of affordable housing in Willimantic.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Pitney Bowes (NYSE: PBI) is recommitting its presence in the State of Connecticut, where it was founded more than 90 years ago. Pitney Bowes plans to add an additional 200 new jobs to its existing workforce of 1,600 employees in the state, under an expansion plan that will see the company investing $25 million in facility improvements, training and technology into Connecticut’s economy.
