Gov. Malloy Announces ASML Intends to Expand its Connecticut Manufacturing Facility and Add Hundreds of New Jobs
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that ASML, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chip-making equipment, is planning to substantially grow its operations in Wilton, Connecticut through an expansion project that will see the creation of up to 524 new jobs added to its current workforce in the town of 1,222 employees.

Governors Malloy, Murphy, Cuomo, and Raimondo Announce ‘States for Gun Safety’ Coalition to Combat the Gun Violence Epidemic
Governor Dannel P. Malloy of Connecticut, Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey, Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York, and Governor Gina Raimondo of Rhode Island today announced the formation of the new “States for Gun Safety” coalition to combat gun violence. In the face of repeated federal inaction, the multi-state coalition will enter into a Memorandum of Understanding to better share information and tackle this devastating epidemic through a comprehensive, regional approach. The coalition will advance a multi-pronged effort focused on enhancing inter-state information sharing among law enforcement, stopping the flow of out-of-state guns, and creating the nation’s first Regional Gun Violence Research Consortium that will study the issue across multiple disciplines to better inform policy makers nationwide.

Gov. Malloy Announces Massachusetts, Delaware, and Puerto Rico Join ‘States For Gun Safety’ Coalition to Combat the Gun Violence Epidemic
Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, and Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo today announced that Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, Delaware Governor John Carney, and Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rosselló are joining the “States for Gun Safety” coalition – a multi-state partnership launched this month to combat the gun violence epidemic. With the addition of these new members, the coalition of states now represents over 35 million Americans and will take action to stop gun-related violence in the face of continued federal inaction.

Gov. Malloy: Flags Lowered to Half-Staff in Honor of the Victims of the Mass Shooting in Parkland, Florida
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that – in accordance with a presidential proclamation directing flags to be lowered to honor the victims of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida – U.S. and state flags in Connecticut will fly at half-staff beginning immediately until sunset on Monday, February 19, 2018.

Gov. Malloy Signs Legislation on Pay Discrimination
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he has a signed into law legislation that will strengthen Connecticut’s ongoing efforts to secure equal pay for equal work for women in the workplace and help prevent unintended wage discrimination. Proposed by the Governor in his State of the State address earlier this year, the new law prohibits employers from asking about a prospective employee’s wage and salary history during the job interview process.
