Joined by Major General Thad Martin, Adjutant General of the Connecticut National Guard, Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Thomas J. Saadi, state officials, and military families, the event commemorates the Connecticut troops killed in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since the 2001 terrorist attacks.

Malloy today announced that the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge in New Haven - informally known as the Q Bridge - will be lit red, white, and blue on the nights of Thursday, November 10, and Friday, November 11, in observation of Veterans Day.
