• Consumer Alert: Fake FBI Email Attempting to Extort Connecticut Residents

  A new “drive-by” Internet virus carrying a fake message and claiming to impose a so-called fine from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) may be targeting email addresses owned by Connecticut residents, Attorney General George Jepsen and state Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner William Rubenstein warned today.

• Gov. Malloy, Attorney General Jepsen: Agreement Will Preserve Hundreds of Acres as Open Space in Sprague

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Attorney General George C. Jepsen today announced that the state will enter an agreement to preserve 230 acres of open space in the towns of Sprague and Franklin. The acreage is part of the Watson Estate, a large expanse of agricultural fields, streams and wooded areas that abuts the Shetucket River.

  Attorney General George Jepsen announced today that Connecticut is among the states, along with the federal government, which have reached an agreement in principle with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for the largest healthcare fraud settlement in U.S. history.

  Attorney General George Jepsen and state Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner William M. Rubenstein announced today that Connecticut has joined a $90 million multistate settlement with GlaxoSmithKline LLC to resolve allegations that the pharmaceutical company unlawfully promoted its diabetes drug, Avandia.
