This afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will stop by a site in Avon (Winding Lane and Stony Corner Circle Rd) where the National Guard and CL&P are working to clear the road. The Governor will be there between about 2:15 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

Thursday: Gov. Malloy Updates Media, Residents on Storm Recovery Efforts, Visits West Hartford & Bethany
On Thursday, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold two news briefings from the State Emergency Operations Center in Hartford to provide residents and media with the latest updates on snowstorm recovery efforts. The briefings will take place at 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join Federal Transit Administrator Peter M. Rogoff, Department of Transportation Commissioner James P. Redeker and other state and local officials for a news conference to announce the federal government’s decision on $275 million in funding for the New Britain-Hartford Busway.

Gov. Malloy: President Obama Authorizes Additional FEMA Assistance
Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that President Barack Obama authorized additional FEMA assistance for Connecticut and its cities, towns and tribes, based on the amended application filed by the Governor on Tuesday. The White House notified the Governor’s Office of the authorization early this morning.

Gov. Malloy Hails Bill Expanding Educational Access, Opportunity for Connecticut Residents
At a ceremonial bill signing Thursday afternoon at Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven, Governor Dannel P. Malloy hailed a measure granting in-state college tuition rates for the state’s public colleges and universities to undocumented Connecticut students. The in-state rates are extended only to those who have completed at least four years of high school within the state, where they also must have graduated or earned an equivalent diploma.
