Tuesday: Gov. Malloy Attends News Conference on Donations for Veterans, Visits Thompson & Putnam to Make Grant Announcements
On Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m., Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give remarks at a news conference hosted by State Representative Betty Boukus (D-Plainville), other lawmakers and representatives from the Connecticut Department of Veterans’ Affairs to announce this year’s collection of new, unwrapped clothing and other items that will be donated to the Connecticut State Veterans’ Home in Rocky Hill.

Governor Malloy, Fairfield Officials, DOT Cut Ribbon on New Fairfield Metro Rail Station
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today joined Fairfield First Selectman Michael C. Tetreau and other state and local officials to mark the opening of the Fairfield Metro railroad station. The $90 million station, which will open for commuter service on Monday, December 5, also includes 1,400 parking spaces.

Gov. Malloy's Two Storm Panel to Meet Wednesday
The working group Governor Dannel P. Malloy created to review the preparedness, response and recovery efforts of Tropical Storm Irene and the October Nor’easter will meet on Wednesday, December 7 as it continues hearing testimony from experts in preparation to compose its final set of recommendations for the Governor.

Gov. Malloy's Two Storm Panel to Meet Friday
The working group Governor Dannel P. Malloy created to review the preparedness, response and recovery efforts of Tropical Storm Irene and the October Nor’easter will meet on Friday, December 2, during which they are scheduled to hear a presentation on the final report from Witt Associates on their review of Connecticut public utility companies and their handling of the recent October snowstorm.

Thursday: Gov. Malloy Addresses CT Police Chiefs Association, Attends Community Providers Annual Meeting
On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give remarks at the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association Winter Meeting/Mini-Expo and Department of Transportation Law Enforcement Summit. Approximately 415 law enforcement officers from throughout the state will be in attendance at the meeting.

Gov. Malloy: Two Storm Panel to Include October Nor-easter in their Charge
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the working group he created in the immediate aftermath of Tropical Storm Irene has been renamed the Two Storm Panel and has officially received an updated charge to include the recent October Nor’easter in its expanded scope. The group will next meet on Wednesday, November 9.

State Selects Moffatt & Nichol to Complete Deep Water Port Economic Development Study
The Office of Policy and Management – working with the Department of Economic and Community Development, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, and local officials – today announced that it has selected leading global port and harbor advisor Moffat & Nichol to complete a comprehensive strategy study of the state’s three deep water ports, including a focused effort at growing maritime industry jobs.

Monday: Gov. Malloy Attends TIGER III Announcement in Stamford, Participates in Supportive Housing Ceremony in Manchester
On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join Senator Lieberman, Senator Blumenthal, Congressman Himes, Department of Transportation Commissioner Redeker, Stamford Mayor Pavia and members of the Stamford business community for a press conference to discuss the $10.5 million federal TIGER (Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery) Grant that was recently awarded to make improvements to the Stamford Transportation Center.
