Gov. Malloy: State Delivers Road Salt to Additional Towns and Cities
Governor Dannel P. Malloy said today that 22 additional cities and towns have received road salt this week under a Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) program that was recently set-up to replenish municipal salt supplies diminished over a harsh 2013-14 winter season.

Gov. Malloy Proposes Increasing Connecticut's Minimum Wage to $10.10
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he is introducing legislation during the upcoming regular session of the General Assembly that will increase the state minimum wage to $10.10, mirroring recent national efforts by President Obama and other Congressional leaders to raise the federal minimum wage to that same amount.

Gov. Malloy Orders Unprecedented Amount of State Data to be Made Available to the Public in Major Transparency and Open Government Effort
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced he has signed an executive order that will result in widespread amounts of raw government data to be collected, placed on the internet, and shared with the public in a major effort to increase transparency and provide a useful database that can be utilized by residents for any number of purposes. The Governor explained that the purpose of the order is to display data in its rawest form, before it has been aggregated and analyzed.

Gov. Malloy: State Seeking Public Review and Comment on Action Plan for $66 Million in Federal Super Storm Sandy Recovery Funds
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the state Department of Housing (DOH) has released for public comment an action plan that outlines how the state will distribute $66 million in federal Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG- DR) funding to continue the state’s Super Storm Sandy mitigation efforts. Governor Malloy invited residents to visit the state’s official CT Recovers website to review and submit comments on the plan. A period for public comment began February 14, 2014 and will end on March 20, 2014.

Gov. Malloy Orders All Non-Essential First and Second Shift State Employees to Not Report to Work Today, Feb. 13
Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced that he has ordered all first and second shift, non-essential state employees to not report to work on Thursday, February 13, in response to winter storm conditions across the state. State employees are encouraged to contact their supervisors for further guidance.
