Gov. Malloy: New Haven Rail Line Branch Service to Resume Monday
Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that rail service on the Danbury and Waterbury branch lines of the New Haven Line will resume Monday, November 5, 2012. Bus service will be provided on the New Canaan branch line at least on Monday and Tuesday, November 5-6.

Gov. Malloy: President Obama Approves Additional Federal Assistance

Gov. Malloy Signs Order Allowing Propane Tanks to be Filled by Alternate Distributors
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today signed Executive Order 27 which will allow any propane supplier to respond to a request to fill a propane tank irrespective of whether they are the owner of the tank. This order will particularly help those who lease their propane tank from their supplier, because under normal conditions, only the owner of the propane tank may respond to these requests.

Gov. Malloy: Special Incentives Available to Assist Those Facing Energy-Related Reconstruction Costs from Storm Sandy
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that $3 million in additional energy efficiency incentives are now available for residents and businesses replacing furnaces, boilers, hot water heaters and refrigerators as a result of damage from Storm Sandy.

Gov. Malloy: Veterans Can Now Have Their Status Recognized on Drivers' Licenses, State-Issued ID Cards
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman today announced that military veterans can now apply to have their status marked on a Connecticut Driver's License or state-issued ID. The Department of Motor Vehicles and AAA offices on January 2, 2013 will begin issuing drivers' licenses and ID cards that will include the symbol of an American Flag to identify veteran status.

Monday: Gov. Malloy Commemorates Passage of New Law Protecting Veterans' Charities
On Monday, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will honor Veterans Day by holding a ceremonial bill signing in New Haven to commemorate the passage of a new law (Public Act 12-195: An Act Concerning Fundraising By Veterans’ Organizations) that increases the penalties for any person found guilty of inappropriately posing as a representative of a veterans’ charitable organization.

Office of Policy & Management Release: Budget Office Announces $170 Million in Rescissions to Help Bring State Budget into Balance
The Office of Policy and Management (OPM) today released a list of $170 million in rescissions from state agencies in an effort to keep the state budget in balance. That dollar figure is within the statutory authority the Governor has to rescind up to 5% of any line item and 3% of any fund without seeking legislative changes to the state budget.

Project Longevity Launched to Reduce Gang and Gun Violence in Connecticut's Cities
Attorney General Eric Holder, U.S. Attorney David Fein and Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy joined members of law enforcement, public officials, social service providers, community leaders and researchers in New Haven today to launch "Project Longevity," a comprehensive initiative to reduce gun violence in Connecticut's major cities. Project Longevity uses a strategy that has shown violence can be reduced dramatically when community members and law enforcement join together to directly engage with these groups and clearly communicate a community message against violence, a law enforcement message about the consequences of further violence and an offer of help for those who want it.

On Sunday, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will commemorate Veterans Day by joining veterans, military officials and other state leaders at a wreath laying ceremony at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown.
