Gov. Malloy: Rep. Grogins Announce Funding for Upgrades to Brooklawn Avenue in Bridgeport
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and State Rep. Auden Grogins (D-Bridgeport) today announced that Friday’s State Bond Commission agenda includes an item of $250,000 to the City of Bridgeport for the revitalization of Brooklawn Avenue between Villa and North Avenues. The proposed project consists of improvements and repairs to the medians, sidewalks, site improvements and landscaping.

Gov. Malloy: "First Five" Will Send Strong, Clear Message to Business Community
Governor Dannel P. Malloy released the following statement today hailing the Senate passage of legislation he proposed creating the “First Five” program – a new jobs initiative that will provide a unique set of incentives to the first five businesses that each bring a minimum of 200 new full-time jobs to Connecticut within the next 24 months.

Thursday: Gov. Malloy Attends Connect-Ability Employment Summit, Speaks at Sexual Assault Conference, Addresses CCM Annual Meeting
On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will speak at the Department of Social Services’ sixth annual Connect-Ability Employment Summit for businesses and job-seekers with disabilities. The summit is expected to attract several hundred representatives of business, government, employment and support service providers, as well as job-seekers and their advocates.

Monday: Gov. Malloy Announces Launch of Connecticut Summer Tourism Campaign
On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Commission on Culture and Tourism Executive Director Kip Bergstrom, will announce a unique public-private partnership between CCT and Connecticut businesses and tourist attractions. This Quick-Start campaign will provide funding to allow CCT to market the state's tourist attractions, events and lodging ahead of the busy summer tourist season.

On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will continue his jobs tour by visiting with members of Aerospace Components Manufacturers at Trumpf, Inc. in Farmington. Aerospace Components Manufacturers is a network of independent Connecticut-based aerospace companies that helps capture new business opportunities for Connecticut’s aerospace industry.
