• 6/13/2011 Tuesday: Gov. Malloy Participates in National 9/11 Flag Restoration Ceremony

  On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join FDNY firefighters and other local first responders for the National 9/11 Flag restoration ceremony at the Old State House in Hartford. Destroyed in the aftermath of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2011, the flag has been touring all 50 states where pieces of fabric from U.S. flags destined for retirement in each state have been stitched together to bring the flag back to its original 13-stripe format.

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today released a statement applauding final passage of a bill modifying the penalties for the possession of small amounts of marijuana, approved by the House of Representatives this afternoon in concurrence with the Senate.

The conference is hosted by the CT Department of Administrative Services, the Secretary of the State, the CT Procurement Technical Assistance Program, the University of Hartford, the US General Services Administration, and the US Small Business Administration.

• 6/14/2011 Gov. Malloy: Connecticut M-8 Rail Fleet Continues to Grow

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy, the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Metro-North Railroad (MNR) today announced that a third set of M-8 rail cars was put into service this morning, bringing to 130 the number of train runs operating with the new cars each week. A total of 26 new M-8s have now been accepted from Kawasaki Rail Car, Inc., and put into service on the New Haven Line.
